Street food style Chicken Satay

Satay Sauce

A simple Satay sauce made with Peanut Butter and Thai Red Curry Paste which is also available on this site.

  • 300 ml Coconut Milk
  • 3 tbs Good Peanut Butter preferably an oily Peanut Butter
  • 2 tbs Red Curry Paste (see this site)
  • 2 tsp Light Brown Sugar
  • 1 tsp Red Wine Vinegar


  • Gently simmer the Coconut milk until reduced by half.
  • Add the Red Curry Paste and simmer for about 2 minutes and add the rest of the ingredients.
  • simmer for about 10 minutes until you can see the oils separating out of the sauce. Add a little water if necessary to get the consistency you want.
